If you find any good phpBB extensions for controlling spam let me know – I’ve got one board that I run for the local chess league and I have to keep it set to no postings until you’ve had one approved because otherwise it’s wide open to spammers. Every few days I have to go in and purge all the new registrations from the bots and find the occasional real person.

Like too much open source software it’s not well thought through and relies on extensions for what should be basic functions.

Oh man. You have no idea what kind of issues come to the fire alarm company that has to do the monitoring , when it is a false alarm or forgot to call the Fire Department to put the system on standby. I mean it’s not as bad as having to run with your back all jacked up, or as bad as knowing you might be losing something you paid for.
But still sucks.. lol
Take care man, glad to see you are safe and all is good.
