One of the things about blogs is the use of the ‘nofollow’ attribute on links. Supposedly this was to help cut down the numbers of spam comments that blogs receive. However it can be a real pain in the ass. People who contribute to communities dont get the link love that they deserve.
I was going to make this blog a ‘dofollow’ blog - where every link and trackback is given a real link. However I tried this on a clients blog recently and the level of spam went through the roof - and they weren’t overly happy withbthe whole thing. As such I’ve decided to use the LinkLove plugin for WordPress - after 10 approved comments all your links will be made followable.
The LinkLove Plugin I’m using was mentioned EasyWordPress.com - and its available to download at All Passion Marketing.

Yeh, this is a great plugin!!
Yeah the LinkLove plugin and others like it seem the way to go.
Although 10 comments before links being followable seems a bit high, the ones I’ve used are adjustable and 3 seems more normal
